 Well, the weather has changed, leaves are falling, and pumpkin spiced lattes are starting to sound good.  Fall is here.  And that also means that the annual Sheron Dental Halloween Candy Buy-back is coming as well!  We’ll collect as much candy as we can and then ship it off to "Operation Gratitude" in California where they will prepare care packages for our soldiers everywhere.

Last year we collected 181 pounds of candy and got it shipped to our troops overseas for care packages.  Kids were given $1 for each pound of candy they brought in.  Many of them made awesome thank you cards that were also sent to our troops.  Each child also got a coupon for a free Burgerville hamburger, a new toothbrush, and was entered into a drawing for a Toys-R-Us gift card.  Lots of fun!!

 This year we hope to get over 200 pounds of candy collected.  Please spread the word! The kids don’t have to be patients of record here so it’s open to anybody 14 years or younger.  We’ll be collecting the candy between 8am and 5:15pm on Tuesday, November 1^st at our office.  Obviously we need unopened packages and we won't be able to accept canned goods as those are hard to include in the care packages.

Also, just a friendly reminder that most dental insurance plan benefits go by the calendar year so if you have treatment that has to be done, get an apointment before the end of the year.  Unfortuantely, those benefits are not carried over so if you don't use em, you'll lose em!  November and December are really busy months at Sheron Dental because of this so reserve your time soon!
